PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE
 
The City Council of the City of Greenville will conduct a public hearing at 7:00 PM on April 14, 2016 in the Council Chambers located on the third floor of the Municipal Building, 200 West Fifth Street.
The purpose of the hearing is to receive public comment on the following:
A Section 5339 grant application for capital assistance from the Federal Transit Administration (FTA) in the amount of $1,040,000.00 for the Greenville Area Transit System for the replacement of two buses.
At the hearing, the City of Greenville will afford an opportunity for interested persons to be heard with respect to social, environmental and economic aspects of the grant application.   All comments will be considered, and if deemed appropriate, the proposed grant application may be modified accordingly.  If no comments are received, the Program Project will become the final Program Project.
A copy of the grant application with the detailed Program of Projects and the Transportation Improvement Program for the area will be available for public inspection in the Public Works Department Transit office, 1500 Beatty Street from 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM weekdays.  For additional information, call the Transit Office at (252) 329-4047.
