Greenville Area Transit (GREAT)

Welcome Aboard! The Greenville Area Transit System (GREAT ) invites you to ride our buses often. It's easy, convenient, and a bargain.
GREAT serves Greenville with 4 routes. Bus service is available from 6:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. on weekdays and from 9:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. on Saturdays. Buses do not run on Sundays and certain City holidays.
Holidays that GREAT does not operate are: New Year's Day, July 4th, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day.

*Elderly (65 and over) and Disabled citizens can ride for the reduced fare by showing our GREAT “Reduced Fare I.D. Cards”. These photo I.D. Cards are available for $3.00 from the City Public Works Department, Transit Division. A valid Medicare Card is accepted as sufficient documentation for obtaining the reduced fare I.D. Card.

Multi-ride bus passes may be purchased at Greenville City Hall, The Public Works Department, or from any bus driver. Transfers are free. Individual bus tickets are sold in books of 50 or l00 and may be purchased at at the Public Works Department.
*1 Paratransit Multi-ride passes must be purchased at the Public Works Department.
*2 Summer Youth Passes are for children ages 6-16 and are good for the months of June, July, and August.
