Spring is in the air, which means the time is now to start hitting the pavement and promoting your business! Government is a great place to start!  Join us for the City of Greenville/GUC MWBE Mix-n-Meet Business Opportunity Fair and Matchmaking Session.  The Mix-n-Meet is your opportunity as a local, minority, and/or woman-owned business to showcase your business and pitch your products and services directly to the City of Greenville and Greenville Utilities Commission.  The event will take place:

Date:  Wednesday, April 5, 2017

Time:  9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.

Location: 3rd Floor Gallery Greenville City Hall

200 West Fifth Street, 27858

How Does It Work?

Depending upon what product or service you provide, you can decide to participate in the Business Opportunity Fair, the Matchmaking Session or Both.  The Business Opportunity Fair is designed as a “reverse trade show,” which allows businesses to meet all buyers within the City and GUC.  Participants in the Fair provide products or services that any department would purchase such as office supplies or catering services.  The MWBE Program will provide the tables and the people; simply bring your best displays, your latest information, and a winning sales pitch!  Individuals in attendance will include Department/Division Heads and those directly involved in the purchasing process.

The Matchmaking Session is designed with the more specialized vendor in mind.  If you are in the construction industry or in the professional services field, simply sign up for a one-on-one matchmaking session and let the project managers come to you!

If you desire to meet all the buyers but would still like to target a few areas, feel free to sign up for both the Fair and the Matchmaking Session.

Attention Local Vendors:

Is your business located within the City limits of Greenville?  Are you interested in learning about being financially sound?  Are you looking to better understand your business needs?  If so, join us for "Being Financially Fit," a training workshop where you will learn about financial accounting principles and managing resources. The workshop will cover basic accounting principles, how they apply, and what financial institutions look for when providing funding. Following the presentation, the floor is yours to ask questions.  Register for this session on the Mix-n-Meet RSVP page.

Is There a Fee?

Both the Mix-n-Meet and the training workshop are free of charge.
