Photography Contest

The Annual Photography Contest is for amateur and professional photographers. Photos must be taken at River Park North, between June 1st and May 31st . We are looking for general photography featuring nature at River Park North. Photo entries may be received on-line starting March 1st, and the deadline for entries is 5pm, May 31st.

Boating Safety Certification

A 6 hour course completing Boating Safety requirements

Hunter Safety Courses

A 6-hour course completing hunter safety requirements

Ages: no age requirement

October Fishing Contest

Beginning October 1 through October 31, park staff will weigh and register channel catfish that are caught at River Park North. Winners will receive prizes donated by area businesses. Regular daily fishing fees are applicable during this time.

River Park North Bird Club

Organized in 1988, this club has 70 plus members with a wide range of interests, from backyard birders to rare bird-chasers. The group generally meets in the Walter L. Stasavich Science and Nature Center at 7:30 p.m. on the first Monday of each month, with a few exceptions. Programs include guest speakers, local sightings, field-trips, and organized bird counts.
