Emerge Gallery & Art Center, Home of the Pitt County Arts Council, in partnership with Visit Greenville, NC and the City of Greenville, will organize the Downtown Greenville First Friday ArtWalk and sponsor the Emerald Express Trolley for the 2024-2025 season (September-June).

Explore Downtown Greenville at your own pace with a self-guided walking tour or hop on the FREE Emerald Express Trolley for a swift journey between stops during the ArtWalk. Discover exciting new art exhibitions, vibrant artist and maker markets, live music performances, open mic events, and much more!

Join us on Friday, October 4 from 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. (and later!) to explore local Downtown galleries, museums, restaurants, breweries, and music venues to experience some of the best creativity and talent in our region. Over 20 businesses will be participating with art, music, culture, culinary treats, and more! 

As a special addition to the October First Friday Art Walk, the first floor lobby of City Hall, 200 West Fifth Street, has been transformed into a gallery in recognition of the 250th anniversary of the City of Greenville. Stop by between 5-8 p.m. to take a look at student art from the City's 250th Anniversary Student Art Competition and other images and artifacts from the past 250 years.
