The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) designates April as National Fair Housing month. April 2020 marks the Fiftieth-Second Anniversary of the Fair Housing Act, which prohibits discrimination in housing. The Fair Housing Act was signed into law by President Lyndon B. Johnson on April 11, 1968 prohibiting discrimination based on race, color, religion, sex, handicap, familial status and national origin. The City of Greenville and their partners will sponsor the following Fair Housing seminars:
