The City of Greenville is continuing to monitor the COVID-19 pandemic and take appropriate steps to limit the spread of the virus. City offices are currently open from 9 a.m.-noon on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, and from 1 p.m.-5 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Uptown Ambassador Program

As Uptown Greenville continues to grow, our ambassadors serve as a welcoming presence for those visiting and frequenting the center city district.

Ambassadors patrol city-owned parking lots and decks,  as well as the public realm. You may see them on foot, on bicycles, or on segway.

Ambassadors provide the following services:

  • Direction and way-finding assistance
  • Dining recommendations
  • Cultural and tourist attractions
  • Motorist assistance
  • Safety escorts to and from any location in downtown
  • Business check-ins and resident assistance
  • Special event safety and information
  • Suspicious activity observation and reporting
