When and where can I get my car seat checked/installed?

If you need a child safety seat installed, you can come by any Greenville Fire/Rescue station to have a trained professional assist you with installation. If you received a ticket and are looking to attend a car seat class or would like to purchase a car seat at a discounted rate, please contact Safe Kids at (252) 847-8688.
How do I request someone to check or install a smoke alarm in my home?

To have someone check your smoke alarm call (252) 329-4390 to set up an appointment. If this is an emergency, dial 911.
Can I have an EMS unit to stand-by on site at my special event?

To request an EMS unit to stand-by at an event, you may call (252) 329-4391 or email FireRescueRequests@greenvillenc.gov.
How do I request a fire station tour?

To schedule a station tour for any size group, call (252) 329-4679 or email FireRescueRequests@greenvillenc.gov. We prefer to schedule tours on Mondays and Fridays.
How do I request a fire engine to come to my event?

For a fire engine crew to visit your location, or to request a fire safety class, call (252) 329-4679 or email FireRescueRequests@greenvillenc.gov.
What is the call volume for Greenville Fire/Rescue's fire and EMS responses?

Greenville Fire/Rescue had more than 18,000 calls for service in 2018. Roughly 80% of those calls are for emergency medical services.
Can I burn trash on my property within the city limits of Greenville?

Open burning within the Greenville city limits is prohibited without a burning permit. There are Fire Code regulations that must be followed for bonfires, recreational fires and open burning. Please contact us at (252) 329-4416 for more information regarding a burn permit.
