Local students have the opportunity to express what they enjoy most about the City of Greenville through art as part of the City's 250th anniversary celebration.

The City of Greenville and the Pitt County Arts Council at Emerge have launched a student art competition for ages 18 and younger that includes $250 in total prizes with winners being selected from three age groups (K-5, 6-8, and 9-12).

Artwork should be submitted on 8.5" x 11" paper or canvas and should be based on the theme "What do you enjoy most about Greenville?" Submissions can be made in person at City Hall (200 West Fifth Street, Greenville) or online at bit.ly/250artcontest.

The deadline for entries is May 10, 2024. Winners will be announced later that month.

In addition to the prizes, winning artwork may be reproduced for display at City Hall during an exhibit in the fall of 2024.
