While the City's offices are currently closed to the public, the City of Greenville Building Inspections Division will continue to perform inspection duties as needed until further notice. If you currently have a permit and need an inspection, you may schedule that inspection online using the Citizens Self Service website https://www.greenvillenc.gov/government/planning-and-development-services/inspections-division/building-permits . Permit applications can be submitted electronically. All documentation for the permit will also need to be submitted electronically. Building permit fees can be paid online. This documentation will need to include all required construction plans, plot plans, lien agents and other drawings that would be associated with the permit. Tutorial for this process can be found at https://www.greenvillenc.gov/home/showdocument?id=18118.  For questions, feel free to call our office at 252-329-4466. Our email is BuildingPermits@greenvillenc.gov

It is the goal of the Inspections Division to protect the safety and well-being of the citizens within the City of Greenville and its Extra Territorial Jurisdiction (ETJ), and to support development by providing building permit service and enforcement of the North Carolina State Building Codes.
