Post Date:05/15/2014

WHAT IS A BALL DROP?

Numbered ping pong balls will be dropped from a lift over the Field of Dreams at Elm Street Park. Each purchaser buys a ticket and the number on the ticket will be written on a ping pong ball and placed in a container for the drop. The winners are the people with the number matching the number on the first, second and third balls ending up on or closest to the designated target below the drop site.

Cost:  $1 per ball   $5 for 7 balls.  YOU DO NOT HAVE TO BE PRESENT TO WIN.

WHAT IS THE PRIZE?

CASH MONEY

WHO CAN PARTICIPATE?

The ball drop is open to any and everyone who wants to purchase a chance to win.

WHY SHOULD I PARTICIPATE?

The ball drop is a fun way to raise funds for United Way of Pitt County, a nonprofit organization that makes a positive impact in our community through school success programs, workforce development and basic needs initiatives.  By purchasing a ping pong ball ticket, you too are helping make a difference in Pitt County.

WHEN IS THE DROP?

The ball drop will be held on Saturday, May 31, at the Elm Street Park, 1058 South Elm Street, at approximately 7 p.m.  You do not have to be present to win but we would love to see you at the game!

HOW DO I WIN?

You can purchase a ping pong ball ticket from a United Way representative at the City of Greenville’s City Hall or Municipal Building, 200 or 201 West 5th Street.   We will also be selling tickets at the Little League games at Elm Street Park on Thursday, May 22,  Tuesday, May 27, and Wednesday, May 28, weather permitting.  For more information, call 252-329-4608.
