The City of Greenville provides two hours of free parking in all City-owned lots and on-street parking. After two hours, patrons must move their vehicles. Patrons who wish to remain in the downtown area can relocate to a different parking spot in a separate lot. The plan also includes free parking for the first two hours in the City's Fourth Street Parking Garage. After two hours, there is a 75-cent charge for each additional hour in the parking garage.

Enforcement of the plan will begin on March 3, 2025. Enforcement hours will be Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Prior to enforcement, the City will take steps to educate the public about the changes.
