Are you ready to gain hands-on experience in social media marketing? The Match and Market Program is your chance to showcase your creativity, contribute to your community, and build your resume while helping local businesses grow.

How It Works:

• Create: Develop and implement social media strategies tailored to small businesses.
• Collaborate: Partner with a local business to help them thrive online.
• Grow: Gain invaluable real-world experience in social media marketing.

Main Goals of the Program:

• Increase 10% followers on each social media platform (two platforms in total) for the assigned business.
• Ensure that 50% of the businesses are able to create social media posts and share those posts on their respective social media platforms after 7 weeks into the program.

Main Deliverables of the Program:

• Create an online social media marketing plan for the assigned business
• Create a social media strategy for at least 2 digital platforms
• Create social media content every week i.e. create 2 social media posts per platform
• Create a user manual for online marketing that business owners can follow post program completion
• Create hashtags for the business and conduct competitive market research on how similar businesses perform on social media
• Improve the overall online presence of the business

Program Benefits for Students:

• Earn a weekly stipend of $75 for your contributions.
• Receive a certificate upon program completion.

Program Details:

• Duration: 10 weeks (March 31 – June 6, 2025)
• Events: Introductory Session, Match and Market Carnival, and Closing Ceremony
• Please ensure that you are available for in-person events on March 28^th and June 6^th, 2025

How to Apply:

Submit your resume and a social media prompt response.

• Prompt: Choose a local business type (e.g., café, boutique, fitness studio) and draft a sample post (caption and visuals) to promote their services or products on Instagram.
