Year-round job opportunity!
The City of Greenville's Neighborhood and Business Services Department is seeking general contractors to work on residential rehabilitation and capital improvement to contribute to the improvement of the City’s community.
Housing Rehabilitation Program Overview
The City of Greenville implements a Housing Rehabilitation Program to aid homeowners with financing the cost of housing repairs and improvements. Only general contractors can submit bids to be considered for these projects.
How can I become a general contractor with the City of Greenville?
Requirements:
- Have a general contractor’s license
- Current Insurance Coverage:
- Comprehensive Bodily Injury (Minimum of $30,000)
- Property Damage (Minimum of $100,000)
- Builders Risk Insurance
- At least three (3) references from previous jobs completed within the last six (6) months.
- Established credit references from at least one material supplier
- Attend an annual contractor’s workshop with the City of Greenville
- Complete and submit an application in order to be awarded the opportunity to be on the City’s contractor’s list
