The City of Greenville seeks to foster a safe, inclusive, and economically stable community, and the realization of these goals begins with healthy neighborhoods, which create the foundation of a healthy city. Within each neighborhood, unique assets exist, which residents can use to better themselves, as well as Greenville as a whole.

The City of Greenville provides a variety of services to support residents as they address neighborhood concerns and build on their neighborhoods’ assets to pursue their individual goals.

First, the Neighborhood Liaison connects neighborhoods and the city; connecting residents to city services and lending expertise to residents.  For more information, contact the Neighborhood Liaison, Tony Parker, at (252) 329-4658 or email at

Second, the city has established several programs to encourage neighborhood development, including Neighborhood Improvement Grants and Community Garden Leases.
