In accordance with the provisions of North Carolina General Statute 160A-71, a Special Meeting of the City Council of the City of Greenville is hereby called on June 26, 2017, at 8:00 PM in the Council Chambers of City Hall, 200 West Fifth Street for the following purposes:

(1) To accept the resignation of Mayor Allen M. Thomas.

(2) To confer upon the Mayor Pro Tem the powers and duties of the Mayor during the period between the effective date of the resignation of Mayor Thomas and the effective date of the appointment by City Council of a person to fill the vacancy of the Office of Mayor.
