Notice is hereby given that the Greenville City Council will hold a special meeting on Thursday, July 6, 2017, at 6:00 PM in the Council Chambers of City Hall, 200 West Fifth Street, for the following purposes:

1. Appointment of a person to fill the vacancy in the Office of the Mayor.
2. If a Council Member is appointed to fill the vacancy in the Office of the Mayor, acceptance of the resignation of the Council Member from the Office of the Council Member effective upon the administration of the Oath of Office for Mayor.
3. If the person appointed to fill the vacancy in the Office of Mayor is present, administration of the Oath of Office for Mayor.
4. If the person appointed to fill the vacancy in the Office of the Mayor is the Mayor Pro-Tem, election of a Mayor Pro-Tem.
5. Closed Session for the purpose of approval of closed session minutes in accordance with G.S. §143-318.11 (a)(1) to prevent the disclosure of information that is privileged or confidential pursuant to the Open Meetings Law and the Privacy of Personnel Records Statute.
