The City of Greenville Community Development Department Housing Division announces Pay Yourself First, the next class in a Financial Literacy Series based on the FDIC Money Smart Program.
By the end of the course, participants will understand ways to save money and learn about savings options that can be used toward reaching a savings goal. To achieve this objective, participants will be able to explain why it’s important to save, determine personal savings goals, identify savings options, determine which savings options will help them reach their goals, recognize investment options that work for them, list ways to save for retirement, and list ways to save for large expense goals.
The class is free and will be held on Monday, June 18, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. in Room B at Sheppard Memorial Library, 530 Evans Street. If you would like more information or plan to attend, contact Sylvia D. Brown at (252) 329-4509 or by email at [email protected].
