The City of Greenville Recreation and Parks Department is partnering with the Jackie Robinson Baseball League (JRBL) of Greenville and the Boys & Girls Club of Pitt County for a Quickball game as part of the Play Ball initiative that Mayor P.J. Connelly kicked off during the JRBL Opening Day ceremony on June 10.
The game will be played on Friday, June 29, from 3-5 p.m. at Thomas Foreman Park and feature two JRBL teams against two teams from the Boys & Girls Club.
Quickball is a fun and fast-paced game that teaches and strengthens baseball or softball skills by offering multiple chances to hit, field, and throw. Anyone can play, and teamwork is emphasized at all levels.
