GREAT FTA Grant Public Hearing

The City Council of the City of Greenville will conduct a public hearing at 6:00 p.m. on October 11, 2018, in the City Council Chambers located on the third floor of City Hall, 200 West Fifth Street.

The purpose of the hearing is to receive public comment on the following:

FY 19/20 Section 5307 grant application for operating assistance from the Federal Transit Administration (FTA) in the amount of $1,800,755 for the Greenville Area Transit System.

At the hearing, the City of Greenville will afford an opportunity for interested persons to be heard with respect to social, environmental and economic aspects of the grant application. All comments will be considered, and if deemed appropriate, the proposed grant application may be modified accordingly. If no comments are received, the Proposed Program of Projects will become the final Program of Projects.

A copy of the grant application with the detailed Program of Projects and the Transportation Improvement Program for the area will be available for public inspection in the G. K. Butterfield Transportation Center office, 600 South Pitt Street from 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. weekdays. For additional information, call the Transit Office at (252) 329-4047.
