GREENVILLE, NC - A portion of Pitt Street will be closing on Monday, January 23 due to construction related to the Greenville Transportation Activity Center.
The closed section will consist of Pitt Street between the Pitt Street/Greene Street connector and roughly 250 feet north of Dickinson Avenue. The road is expected to be closed for 3-5 months as stormwater, water, gas, and electric infrastructure will be replaced, and the road will be rebuilt.
"We thank everyone for their patience as we upgrade the infrastructure in this area," Greenville Director of Public Works Kevin Mulligan said.
Message boards have been put in place to notify the public, and detours will posted when the road is closed. An aerial view of the impacted area is included below.
