PirateFest Returns to Greenville for 16th Year

GREENVILLE, N.C. — Swashbucklers of all ages will swarm the streets of downtown Greenville this weekend when PirateFest returns for its 16th year.
 
This year's free festival, presented by Optimum will be held on Saturday, April 15, from 11 a.m.-8:30 p.m. at the Town Common and along First Street in Uptown Greenville. Organized by Uptown Greenville and the City of Greenville, PirateFest will showcase the best of eastern North Carolina, from artists to restaurants and unique recreational activities, while also incorporating a variety of piratical activities and live entertainment throughout the day.
 
Highlighting this year's event will be a free concert on Saturday night featuring award-winning country duo Maddie & Tae at the Town Common Amphitheater. The duo will take the stage at approximately 7:15 p.m.
 
Free parking is available all day in public lots and on streets throughout the Uptown District.
 
All PirateFest attendees should feel safe, comfortable, and welcome. Four-legged friends are allowed, but owners must clean up after them appropriately. The following items are prohibited at this year's event:
  • No outside alcohol, food, or beverage
  • No coolers
  • No picnic baskets
  • No tents
  • No glass or glass containers of any kind
  • No laser pointers
  • No unauthorized soliciting, advertising, product sampling, giveaways, etc.
  • No illegal substances
  • No weapons of any kind
  • No threatening signs or apparel
